This series explores movement and perception in urban space. Using long exposure in the Paris metro, the camera becomes a tool similar to Gerhard Richter’s “rakel”, transforming reality into layered, abstract images.
These photos reflect my interest in water, mountains and the constant change on the one hand, as well as the continuous constancy that both stand for. Water seems to be transformed into snow and small rock formations into mountains.
With this series I took pictures of myself sleeping in different places in Iceland.
Mountains and trees play an important role in my travels and discoveries. These series takes a look from above on winter landscapes with trees and snow patterns.
This ongoing series transforms textures found in different places into graphic compositions. Photographed fragments of stone surfaces are reworked into abstract images that highlight rhythm, structure, and material presence.
Inspired by my travels, I began creating postcards. I made sketches or used anything that spoke to me, small stones, moss, pieces from adverts, spices. I mailed them back to myself, letting the postal system add its own touch to the work. Just like travel itself, the passage transformed the postcards.
